fox academy is probably one of my favorite bands and I love to see the behind the scenes and the inspiration that comes with making an album.
This doc almost felt like a time capsule, because it was filmed a decade ago and was only posted 3 years ago. Being able to see life 10 years ago, with all its color and quirks was refreshing to see. It left me with a nostalgic feel and almost felt drawn to the reminiscence of it all. The shots of all of the cats made this 10 times more enjoyable lol

home videos weaved together like a dream, like seeing the smallest most valuable moments through someone else's eyes. raw energy and emotion. intimate and romantic american boyishness earnestly captured and presented beautifully and untouched. bittersweet young adult beauty and feeling, orbiting and through the lens of what feels like a particularly special and uniquely open creative relationship. The most beautiful friendships are the ones where you can have a whole conversation just repeating the same two words over and over again without getting bored.
So low key, just a mundane little slice of life that nevertheless I felt compelled to keep watching. This sleepy little film by the fox academy boys is probably for the fans more than anybody else. It has the same sort of hypnotic ambient quality that their music does, and I think if that music has sucked you in then you can also get into this little slice of their lives. The cat is also very cute.
